Women’s health research is sorely lacking due to several factors, including historical bias, policies, and challenges in recruiting and retaining women in research. This lack of research affects the quality of life for all women. The goal was to create a poster that used informational graphics to convey this information.
Initial development was focused on the flow of information and where to place informational graphics. The idea was to have a poster that was fluid in structure.
I chose to use Cascadia Mono, and Barge as typefaces. They were modern while adding a unique element of shape. For the color palette, I chose to go with pink, purple, white, and a dark red. This felt feminine, without relying too much on the stereotype of pure pink.
