Chick&Chick is a rustic, refreshing magazine publication focused on the husbandry of backyard flocks.
It focuses on the basics. From different types of feed to best chicken snacks and prevention of disease, this is the all-in-one. This is a great resource for the influx of new flock owners, and it aims to be an easy resource for those who are just diving into the care of poultry.
I wanted to focus on a magazine that was fresh and rustic. Reminiscent of the homestead life that is quickly becoming a trend. While designing initial identities, I focused on natural textures and simple formats for simplicity. One identity was striking, with bold colors and texture, while the other was more subtle, with a refined yet rustic taste.
Balanced formats were my focus when drafting ideas for compositions. Focusing on full page images, structure, and additional text elements.
