Weighted Fates

InDesign- Illustrator - 2025

Weighted Fates is a D&D podcast with a difficult twist. When a player is required to make a roll, they must choose a die from the pot. Each die is weighted towards Nat 1 or a Nat 20. This can make for some unlucky or lucky results. With a campaign group of seven and their mischievous Dungeon Master, this podcast is high energy with many unexpected twists and turns.

Initial logo concepts were focused on rich colors and fantasy concepts. I wanted it to be obvious what kind of story would be told from the start, while alluding to the twist specific to this podcast.

The first logo focused on the idea of a scale and a twenty-sided die. The second focused more on the medieval aspect, with a shield and crest. Last, the dragon eye logo was a bit of an Easter egg, as it alluded to the enemy of the campaign.

The final design features medieval-inspired typefaces, bold colors, and unique illustrations.

The palette is varied, with a royal blue, deep blues, and a golden yellow to contrast the cooler colors. The typefaces are textured, aiding the medieval theme of the brand.
